Pledge Scholarship
Through education, we achieve KNOWLEDGE, one of Phi Gamma Delta's five values. To promote knowledge, Phi Gamma Delta has awarded over $1.4 million in scholarships and fellowships through the Phi Gamma Delta Educational Foundation. All pledges that receive a 3.0 or higher grade point average during their pledge program will receive a $250 scholarship thanks to the efforts of the Educational Foundation.

John T. Edwards Memorial Scholarship
Young people today face many challenges as they begin their search for colleges. The rising cost of tuition is an additional challenge. Our goal is to provide financial assistance to one incoming male freshman who deserves to be recognized. The John T. Edwards Memorial Scholarship awards a student who demonstrates leadership and scholastic ability; exhibits qualities of friendship, knowledge, service, morality and excellence; and displays moral force of character.
This scholarship's funding comes from the Phi Sigma chapter of the fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji) in memory of John Edwards, a brother who was killed February 19, 1994. Phi Gamma Delta was founded in 1848 upon the principles of friendship, knowledge, service, morality and excellence by six extraordinary men. We remember John, who exemplified these five ideals and who touched our lives immeasurably and have created the John T. Edwards Memorial Scholarship in his honor. Please contact our Rush Chairman for more information.
